Upcoming events in November for ETSA Secretariat
November will prove to be yet another busy month at ETSA Secretariat, with ETSA Secretary-General, Elena Lai being a keynote speaker at two upcoming events, first at EURATEX's Antwerp Convention on 9 November and at Swedish Textile Service Association's Autumn Meeting on 18 November. We are immensely excited for both and very much looking forward to seeing you there.
Euratex's Antwerp convention will examine how the COVID-19 pandemic has shaken the very foundations of the textiles, apparel and fashion industry. Indeed, throughout the pandemic, global supply chains were disrupted with everyone from retailers to SMEs being forced to adapt and improvise to the changing and dynamic circumstance. Along with all this, European Union goals in regard to environmental standards and digitalization mean an ever evolving state of affairs for the textile services industry. Elena Lai will touch on skills, and the role they play in a digital and environmentally conscious textile services industry, stay tuned for more.
Later in the month, the Swedish Textile Service Association's upcoming Autumn Meeting (pictured) is certain to be landmark event for the Textile Service industry as 2021 draws to a close, where Elena Lai will also be a keynote speaker. The event will take place at the Blique by Nobis Hotelin Stockholm. The event will feature speakers from politics, culture and journalism both local to Sweden and from abroad, in addition to textile service industry experts. ETSA Secretary-Elena Lai is one of those aforementioned keynote speakers, and will discuss challenges and opportunities in textile services from a European perspective. We are looking very much forward to both of these events, as they can help bring the tumultuous year of 2021 to a fruitful close.
