Lindström wins the Employer of the Year in Textile Services Award
With great pleasure, ETSA presents Lindström Oy with the 2024 Employer of the Year Award in Textile Services. This esteemed prize honors Lindström's extraordinary dedication to creating a work environment that promotes lifelong learning, skill development, and general employee wellbeing. The ground-breaking Global People System, Linda, is an example of Lindström's unique approach, which has raised the bar for employee development, performance, and engagement.
Early in 2023, Lindström debuted Linda, a revolutionary HRIS system meant to change employee assistance completely. With an ability to streamline procedures, guarantee data quality, and offer insightful advice, Linda forms the foundation of people experiences and HR operations. Linda was intended to be more than just a system; rather, it was to be a dependable friend for each Lindströmer, fostering growth, engagement, and performance. Linda encourages a sense of ownership and autonomy among employees by giving them the freedom to maintain their own information and profiles.
By centralizing assessments and goal setting, Linda's Performance and Development module fosters a culture of talent development in line with business goals. As part of Linda's continuous development, a cutting-edge learning management system was launched in early 2024, demonstrating Lindström's dedication to innovation and employee development. Linda, so named because of its simplicity and memorability, represents Lindström's commitment to the success and wellbeing of employees. Linda is enhanced by Lindström's We Care Culture, which is based on empathy and a human-first philosophy. This culture, which is based on purpose, values, leadership principles, and We Care behaviours, creates an atmosphere where each Lindströmer feels appreciated and encouraged to learn and develop. With 5,000 employees spread across 23 countries, Lindström's unique culture acts as a unifying factor in a rapidly changing world.
Lindström focuses on four important areas: leadership, fair employment, learning and development, and health and safety. These areas are in line with the We Care Culture. These pillars demonstrate Lindström's dedication to equity, wellbeing of the workforce, ongoing development, and compassionate leadership. By granting autonomy and centralizing procedures, Linda improves employee engagement, productivity, and development and embodies Lindström's belief in empowering people and promoting a culture of support and caring. A core project team of roughly 20 people, including outside consultants, and 2000 office and customer interface staff, 500 line managers, 3,000 textile care workers, and delivery representatives are all involved in the massive investment and implementation of the Linda project. Global, regional, and local HR partners have facilitated training sessions and substantial communication to further promote and distribute the project and new system.
Lindström's initiative was praised by Dr. Michael Freytag, Chairman of the European Business Services Alliance (EBSA) and Public Affairs Manager at the World Employment Confederation: "The Linda project is innovative and contributes to the positive image and perception of the European textile services industry through a human-first approach." I commend Lindström Oy for making a sizable investment in its people with the Linda project. The implementation of creative upskilling and reskilling programs, a measurable investment in employee development, a notable improvement in employee retention, overall health, and satisfaction, compelling employee testimonials and feedback, sustainability, and strategic foresight in program implementation are among the requirements for the Employer of the Year Award in Textile Services. Lindström has made significant strides in these areas, demonstrating a strong dedication to upholding high standards of employee satisfaction and ongoing development.
Lindström Oy is congratulated by ETSA on this well-earned honor. In addition to improving employee satisfaction, its ground-breaking Global People System, Linda, and the encouraging We Care Culture also establish industry standards for excellence in the textile services sector. The success of Lindström is a source of inspiration, showing how an all-encompassing strategy focused on the needs of the workforce can change company culture and promote enduring loyalty.
