My experience at Klopman has been profoundly enriching, especially as both Managing Director and overseeing sales within the group. My understanding of customer needs and the importance of delivering excellence comes from Klopman's commitment to serve Europe's most prominent industrial laundries. The industry's evolution toward sustainability has challenged me to balance innovation with responsibility, fostering growth for Klopman while contributing to a more sustainable future. This dual role has strengthened my leadership and strategic vision, keeping me inspired by the opportunities to innovate and collaborate with some of the best partners in the sector.

Klopman is well-known for its durable and high-performance fabrics. What specific strengths and expertise do you feel Klopman brings to the ETSA board? Are there any particular goals or priorities you would like to see ETSA focus on during your tenure?

Klopman's strength lies in producing durable, high-performance fabrics that combine innovation and sustainability. With a vast expertise in textile engineering and a global perspective, we want to bring valuable insights to ETSA, particularly in advancing sustainable practices and fostering industry growth.

My primary goal on the ETSA board will be to focus on two key priorities: driving sustainability and circularity by promoting recyclable fabrics and waste reduction,  and supporting textile innovation. Our aim is to bring the perspective of a textile manufacturer into the industrial laundry sector—a manufacturer committed to listening and responding swiftly to customer needs.

Is there something Klopman does particularly well that you feel could inspire or benefit other ETSA members?

Klopman excels in creating fabrics that maintain high performance even after repeated industrial laundering. Our focus on innovation has enabled us through the years to develop products tailored to the evolving needs of both end-users and industrial laundries, ensuring functionality, comfort, and cost-effectiveness.

What truly sets us apart is our ability to adapt quickly to market demands and collaborate closely with customers to deliver customized solutions. This customer-centric approach, combined with our commitment to environmentally responsible manufacturing, can serve as a model for fostering innovation and strengthening partnerships within the ETSA community.

With the EU Green Deal and increased emphasis on circularity and sustainability, how has Klopman adapted its strategy and operations to align with these objectives?

Klopman has fully embraced the principles of the EU Green Deal by embedding sustainability and circularity into our strategy and operations. We've invested significantly in both processes and products.

A key milestone in our journey is offering fabrics made from recycled post-consumer garments, a concrete step towards closing the loop in textile production. Additionally, we focus on recyclable fabrics and sustainable raw materials like organic cotton and recycled polyester. By providing lifecycle assessments of our products and collaborating closely with customers to support their sustainability goals, we ensure that we not only align but exceed the objectives of the EU Green Deal.

What are Klopman's key priorities for 2025 and beyond, and how do these align with the broader goals of ETSA and the industry?
