On 23 February ETSA partners met virtually to discuss the current development and future direction of the project "Educate!"
ETSA has been involved with this project which includes building the landmark "Washboard E-learning platform" since 2018. ETSA's partners in this project include HeurekaNet, the Belgian Association for Textile Care (FBT), the German Textile Cleaning Association (DTV), the Laundry and Dry-Cleaning Association of the Czech Republic (APAC) and the Swedish Textile Service Association.
The subject of the Feburary call focused on the progression for the execution of the intellectual outputs (IOs) which are a vital part of the platform, whose goal is to train and educate workers in the textile care industry. The IOs currently under construction focus on the activation of employees in various facets and segments of the textile care "circle of life."
As the discussion progressed, the partners began to more extensively plan dissementation for the platform, which is planned to launch in the coming months. This dissemenation includes multiplier events, which happen at the very least in hybrid format, in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The atmosphere of the conversation was fruitful as ETSA and its partners are adamant in the value of "E-washboard" as a learning platform for the textile care industry, especially as online education has become more and more the norm throughout Europe.
