ETSA Named European Association of the Year 2025 at Associations World Congress
Hamburg, Germany, 30 June 2025: The European Textile Services Association (ETSA) has been awarded European Association of the Year 2025 at the Associations World Congress (AWC25) in Hamburg, hosted by the Association of Association Executives (AAE).
The award recognizes ETSA's commitment to collaborative leadership, policy engagement, and knowledge-sharing across the textile services industry. It marks a significant milestone for the association following several years of sustained advocacy, cross-sector dialogue, and member-driven initiatives.
Textile services, which are considered an essential sector for the EU, are based on a circular rental model that supports healthcare, cleanroom, and hospitality industries across Europe and beyond. Thanks to the combined efforts of industrial laundries, key detergent producers, technical textile and fabric manufacturers, and integrated machinery system providers, the sector is advancing a strong and impactful agenda.
ETSA Secretary General Elena Lai reflected on the award:
"We're incredibly proud of this recognition," she said. "It's a great reminder that collective effort and consistency can truly make a difference. Taking care of the health and safety of EU citizens while promoting circular business models that are both sustainable and competitive will continue to be key to our mission."
Over recent years, ETSA has played a pivotal role in shaping European-level dialogue on circular economy practices, textile regulation, and innovation within the textile services industry. The association continues to grow its membership and deepen partnerships across sectors.
ETSA extends its sincere thanks to the AAE, the AWC25 judges, and Damian Hutt, Executive Director at AAE, and his team for creating an engaging and collaborative environment, filled with incredible learning sessions, thought-provoking debates, and impactful networking opportunities.
